God’s own University, Covenant, has been named the 'Best School of the Year' at the just concluded Future Creativity Leaders Academy (FCLA) Competition held between 2nd and 4th of July, 2020, and organized by Pitcher Festival of Creativity.

The award came when three Final Year students of the Department of Mass Communication of the University aggregated the highest points score at the competition, thus signposting Covenant as a formidable academic institution in the country.

Olajide Glory Ayobami emerged winner of the FCLA Competition and will be representing Nigeria at the Dubai Lynx Festival. Olajide achieved the feat alongside two other Final Year students of the Mass Communication Department, Jesimiel William and Oreoluwa Sowemimo.

The supervising lecturer, Dr Odion Odiboh, was awarded 'The Best Lecturer of the Year Award' at the competition.

We have become a rallying point for Africa's creative community and a channel for the rest of the world to learn, experience and connect with the diverse creativity of Africa.

Organizers of the Competition noted that the event had consistently presented the next level of training programmes for agencies and brands. They stated further that the competition was where leading creative teachers to telecommute to class from around the world, with the KreativeKlub combining informal hangouts, seminars, webinars and round-table sessions to bring creative minds together and keep them abreast of latest industry developments and trends.

The Creativity Week is the content, events and awards platform - providing industry news and information as well as promoting and celebrating African creativity.

To God alone be all the glory.
